Hello everyone! What a better week! I only cried once! It really was good! Thank you for all the emails. It took 15 min to print them all out! They let us go to the store! Mom I should have brought my sticky notes because I had to buy them at the store!
People hang out by the busses to whistle at the sisters as we all walk by, so that's funny! I couldn't really look up that much to see everything because the sidewalks have too many potholes! Yeah that would have made the Dominicans laugh..."haha the gringa can't even walk" so I had to pay really close attention! We also get to cross the street with oncoming traffic! The cars don't even slow down! I thought I was going to get hit! That's probably why we walk instead of drive most of the time because the traffic is crazy here! But the country is gorgeous! I can see the ocean behind the temple!
We had a talk from the doctor on how to not die and he told us that "life is tough but it's tougher when your stupid" so that was funny! Also, my teachers are just overgrown children! 23-28 and you know their still kids when they poke each other in the eye because the other one is being annoying! They really are amazing though. I've been much calmer this week so that was nice. I'm trying my best to learn this language which is HARD!
Also, Mom, I cleaned my bathroom today and it was FUN! Because as I was cleaning I just went wow, this is comforting and I know how to do this! Great huh? I thought you'd be proud! Did you get my letters?
The people here are really amazing here! They are really nice and welcoming! My week was way better this time and I didn't feel like dying...haha it is hard but I knew it wouldn't be easy. Thank you for your prayers! I miss you guys tons but I'm learning a lot. I'm frustrated about teaching. It's really hard to teach in english let alone in spanish. I'm amazed at how much I can communicate in spanish! I can pray really well and we all have to write talks for sunday although only a couple of us will go!
I also learned something really important this week, It's your choice to be happy. You can choose to be happy. You can choose to laugh instead of cry and you can consciously make the choice to be happy. My happiness depends on me and no one else so that was cool! Anyways love you guys!
